UNITES Project - Co-Design Image

UNITES is a transnational project about co-designing integration strategies with stakeholders, migrants, and established residents, co-ordinated by the city network Eurocities and co-funded by the European Fund for Asylum, Migration, and Integration (AMIF).

As UNITES expert partner, MigrationWork develops training on this topic for staff from the cities of Athens (EL), Bologna (IT), Dusseldorf (DE), Grenoble Alpes Metropole (FR), Prague (CZ), Oulu (FI), Zagreb (HR), Zaragoza (ES). In the second stage of the project, MigrationWork accompanies the eight local authorities in applying their learning at home and developing their integration strategies further through co-design.

UNITES also involves the two migrant organisations New Women Connectors and UNITEE. In addition to helping partner cities to have better integration strategies through co-design and co-ordination with stakeholders, UNITES develops guidance for cities outside the project in the form of How-to-guides and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on co-design in integration.

At the end of the project, two cities outside the project will receive a support package on co-designing integration strategies by two staff members of the cities involved in UNITES who are trained and supported by MigrationWork for this purpose.
